The Human Stain

When first reading this book I was confused what Coleman profession was. I soon learned out that he was a college professor that was wrongly accused of a racist comment. I felt that he was not the type of man that would stoop down and make racist remarks. The author explains that Coleman and his wife are not that close but during the hard time Coleman goes through they come back together. Also when his wife dies I feel bad for Coleman, he needs someone during this time of crisis. 

Great Gatsby Characters

The characters of Great Gatsby come from various back rounds. Nick the main character is a Yale graduate that fought in WWI who lives next to Gatsby in West Egg. On the other hand Tom a fellow member of Yale who graduated with Nick lives across the bay in a lavish house with his wife Daisy. Along with Nick, Tom, and Daisy we meet other characters that are similar and different to them. The women in the novel are unhappy with their marriages and seek other men to satisfy their happiness. It seems that women in Great Gatsby want something more in their lives and want to break away from their current living situation.
